Strater Hotel had an outdated WordPress website that was in desperate need of replacement. As subcontractors of Chimera Communication, 360Durango was asked to create a full replacement and give Strater a brand new online face. The Strater also needed a way to gather and analyze meaningful data.
Our Task Was
Our task, as the backbone web developer team, was to build a comprehensive website capable of increasing the ecommerce conversions for direct bookings. Strater Hotel’s goal was to dramatically reduce the amount of bookings from Online Trading Agencies (OTA), which would give them back the 15% commission charged per booking when not direct. We needed to create this platform, retain SEO at a critical booking season, and build engaging and aesthetically pleasing graphics.
Process
This website was a flagship project for 360Durango and everyone involved. Our team helped strategically consult our client on data driven decisions to optimize results. As the subcontractor of Chimera Communication, 360Durango had to communicate on multiple fronts to maintain transparency throughout the process.

Result
Almost immediately, the Strater Hotel generated a double digit percentage increase in branded keyword traffic, boosting direct bookings exactly as they had desired. By analyzing data and making critical decisions, we knew everything we could about each individual booking down to the penny. We were able to track which pages they viewed, what they searched, how long they spent on the site, and the most important data piece – where they came from.
